Summer workouts with your village are one of our favorite things, and we want to make sure everyone stays comfortable, including the tiniest members of your crew. Here are a few tried-and-true tips for keeping kids cool in the stroller while mama moves.
Fan + Spray Bottle = Instant Summer Fun A small clip-on stroller fan is a game changer. Pair it with a spray bottle filled with water and give your kiddo quick little squirts throughout class. Most kids think it's hilarious and it keeps them refreshed and entertained at the same time. Win-win. Not a fan of the spray? A cold, wet washcloth to hold and play with works just as well for little ones who dont prefer the spray.
Freezer Pops for the Win One of our veteran mamas is basically a legend for showing up with a Yeti cup packed full of Pedialyte pops, and her boys are here for it every single time. Cold treats keep kids hydrated and happy, and they're the perfect mid-class distraction. Stock up!
Watch the Car Seat Situation If you have an infant in a car seat attached to the stroller, be mindful of blankets or covers draped over the seat. Even a light muslin can trap heat and restrict airflow quickly. On hot days, opt for a stroller fan directed toward the seat and skip the cover when possible.
Dress for the Heat Light, breathable fabrics are your best friend. Think loose-fitting clothes in moisture-wicking or cotton blends. The cooler they're dressed, the longer everyone lasts out there.
Stay cool, mamas! We'll see you at the park!
